Sarah was scheduled to start round three of chemo today, but she hasn't totally recovered from the infection.  Home health came yesterday to take labs, everything looked great except the ANC (absolute neutrophil count...a type of white blood cell that fights infection).  To start chemo her ANC needed to be at least 1,000 but it's only 700.  I was anxious to get started on round three....I just want to get it all done and behind us.  But I am so happy we get to be home this long Thanksgiving week as a family.

We are still being extra cautious and keeping Sarah at home and as germ-free as possible.  I think she really needed an extra week home, she just seems so tired.  She still loves to do things she used to but she runs out of energy pretty fast.  She loves dancing (while mommy or daddy hold her) to Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift, and Phillip Phillips.  She is very particular about her music! A few times at the hospital she would tell me, "Dance!" and she would scroll through YouTube on my phone until she found Believer from Imagine Dragons.  Her cousin Ryan showed her that song and it is one of her favorites!  I wa a little embarrassed to be dancing to that with Sarah when nurses would come in the room, but Sarah would be so insistent. 😂  She never asks for much, but when she does I just can't say no.

She goes around the house looking for people to scare....she walks around with her finger by her lips saying, "shhh..." then when she gets by Grandma or Grandpa she says, "boo!" and giggles.

She's gotten to know her great uncle Wes better this last week.  He's come by to check on her and do dressing changes on her PICC line.  Nathan and I are both comfortable giving Sarah her IV antibiotics now, but dressing changes definitely require our super hero Wes!!

We are so grateful for your continued prayers and support!  We feel them and are so strengthened by them.  Happy Thanksgiving!! 💕
