It has been a wonderful two weeks since Sarah's surgery!  She loves being with Hannah and Camden outside of the hospital.  Aside from the scar on her cute little bald head, she looks like a healthy little girl.  She runs around the house, climbs the stairs, plays hide and seek and loves life.

Nathan drove Sarah, Camden, and I to Seattle last week.  Before we left we stopped to get gas and ran into a dear friend whose encouraging words were straight from heaven and just what we needed.  We left early in the morning and drove all day.  When we made it Camden said, "That wasn't too long." Just a few of many, many tender mercies!

The first day there she had an appointment at Seattle Children's Hospital.  We will be meeting with the doctor there weekly while she undergoes radiation.  We spent the rest of the day exploring and getting familiar with our temporary home.  The next day we met our radiation team at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.  We discussed the treatment plan and everything that it entails.  Then they put her to sleep while did some imaging and made her mask. (I will put a link at the bottom with more information).  After her appointment we headed home to be with Hannah while the team mapped Sarah's tumor.

On the way home I noticed what I thought was a chipped tooth in Sarah's mouth.  I texted a picture to our dentist and he said it wasn't a chipped tooth.  Chemo wreaked havoc and Sarah had many cavities.  Primary Children's Dentistry was able to see her on Monday.  They said she needed surgery.  "The waiting list is usually months out....but we happen to have a spot available for her tomorrow."  We see Heavenly Father's hand in our lives every day.  We had only a small window of time before we left the state and really wanted to fix it so she wasn't in pain, and it worked out perfectly.

Friday night Sarah went to Make A Wish and LOVED it.  She wished to go to Disneyland.  Every night Hannah prays for Sarah to get better so she can go to Disneyland and meet Moana.

Sarah starts treatment on Tuesday.  We started the drive for Seattle today.  We are so excited to start treatment.  We are so grateful for such an amazing team taking care of her.  We really miss our friends back at Primary Children's and we are excited to meet new friends in Seattle.

Thank you for the love and prayers!!!

  1. I have been friends with your mother in law for many years and my son and Tanner were childhood friends. I wanted you to know that I read your blog every Sunday and your faith and strength have been such an example to me. You may never know how many lives your families experience are being strengthened as we follow you in your journey. Your faith is helping to strengthen mine. Reading your words always reminds me that I am not alone in my own journey and need to rely on my faith. Thanks for sharing.💗
